Eating in Bahrain

In the past, people in Bahrain used to eat a lot of fish, rice and dates .The food was cheap and healthy as well.

Now, eating habits have changed a lot. Dates and yoghurt are not important far Bahraini's meals. Also they have many verities of food to have meal in them. People now do not have to eat at home everyday. They can go to restaurants or take their meal and eat it in a garden .When wego to supermarkets we can find many kind of food like Indian fruit ,American vegetable and English cheese. However, some Bahraini people like international food and traditional dishes at the same time .

All in all, there are many good eating habits in Bahrain. People are eating a lot of healthy food like fish, fruits and vegetables. Also many of them are eating with their family. But there are some bad eating habits like eating a lot of rice and eat out a lot in the restaurants.

 

The national day

Bahrain National day is on 16th of December. People celebrate it in many towns like Manama and Isa town. It celebrates the dependence of Bahrain.

People begin preparing for this festival weeks beforehand. First they decorate all the streets and houses with flags and colorful lights. The schools also have parties so students express their feelings. In this day, people wear traditional clothes and girls wear'' thoub al nashel '' and boys wear '' thoub ''. Women decorate their hands with henna too. There are special traditional dances that are preformed by girls and boys. Also national songs are sung by famous singers like Ahalm and Rasheed Al-Majed.

When this festival is finished, we are all tired but very happy after a long exciting day.
