ملك العقارب999 Posted أكتوبر 15, 2006 Report Share Posted أكتوبر 15, 2006 بعطيج الي عندي وزيدي عليهم مال بيت القرآن اوكي Welcome to Beit Al Qur'an's Website. This site is an introduction to Beit Al Qur'an: 'The House of the Qur'an' in Manama, Bahrain, where information can be found on this unique Islamic cultural institution and the services and activities it offers. Beit Al Qur'an is dedicated to the service of the Holy Qur'an and to the better and wider understanding of Islam as a religion and a civilization. It is open to all people whatever their nationalities or religious backgrounds. Visitors to Beit Al Qur'an and its various sections will be able to learn more about the Holy Qur'an, Islam and its code of ethics and moral values. Beit Al Qur'an, located in the Diplomatic Area, a prominent area of Manama, is housed in a famously attractive building with robust architectural features that reflect the importance and reverence of the artifacts it contains. This great institution and its museum house an internationally celebrated collection of historic Quranic manuscripts from various parts of the Islamic world, from China to the East to Spain in the West, representing a progression of calligraphic traditions from the first century of the Islamic era to the present day. Beit Al Qur'an's components are: Mohammed Bin Khalifa Bin Salman Al Khalifa Lecture Hall; The Abdul Rahman Jassim Kanoo Mosque; Al Forqan Library; The Yousif Bin Ahmad Kanoo School for Quranic Studies; Al Hayat Museum. المؤسس The Founder & the Inspiration its It was an act of inspiration that led Dr. Abdul Latif Jassim Kanoo to establish Beit Al Qur'an and nurture development over the years from a mere idea into an internationally renowned and unique Islamic cultural institution. Dr. Kanoo, a member of a prominent Bahraini family, an engineer by profession and a former senior government officer and Shura Council member in Bahrain was guided in his efforts by his immense pride in his Islamic faith and heritage and a keen interest in the art of collecting historic Quranic manuscripts. Dr. Kanoo's personal collection of very rare and beautiful Quranic manuscripts grew from small beginnings to expand in importance and fame to such an extent that he felt it should be preserved and protected for future generations. He was soon to realize that the heavy responsibility of holding such a fabulous collection transcended the concept of ownership to that of custodianship and it was this simple notion that inspired the idea of the establishment of Beit Al Qur'an. Dr. Kanoo felt that his personal collection should be housed in a specialized institution capable of protecting it and preserving it for posterity, an institution designed in all its aspects to serve Islam and the Holy Qur'an. His collection formed the nucleus of Beit Al Qur'an's great collection of Quranic manuscripts, which later grew to be one of the most important of its type. Dr. Kanoo concentrated his boundless energy to raise money through donations from people from all walks of life, mainly from Bahrain and the Gulf Cooperation Council, to build and maintain Beit Al Qur'an. Through his efforts, the late Amir of Bahrain, His Highness Sheikh Isa Bin Salman Al Khalifa opened Beit Al Qur'an to the public, in a ceremony attended by representatives from various parts of the Muslim World, on the 12th March 1990, a great institution "built by the people for all the people". هدف القرآن The Goal of Beit Al Qur'an Beit Al Qur'an strives to serve the Holy Qur'an and the study of its teachings through all its activities. The institute's main objectives are: • The service and understanding of the Holy Qur'an. • The presentation of the Holy Qur'an, its teachings and code of ethics to all people of all ages and the encouragement of its learning, study and recitation. • The promotion and sponsorship of cultural activities, lectures and seminars aimed at the dissemination of knowledge about Islam, the Holy Qur'an and Islamic culture and heritage. • The promotion and sponsorship of academic research by scholars into Quranic sciences. • The collection and preservation of Holy Quranic manuscripts and calligraphic heritage for future generations and make these available to scholars and general public by putting them on display in an appropriate cultural setting. • The promotion of museological studies into the preservation, restoration, display and storage of manuscripts and old books. • The publication of books and other materials on the Holy Qur'an and other subjects relating to Islamic heritage.
